Student Government Day

April 2, 2009, held a great day for the Senior students of Bell Gardens High School. They were introduced to many of the leaders of their local city government. Officials took these young future leaders and exposed them to the everyday course of running a government. Then the students were treated to a great lunch at the distinguished Rio Hondo Golf Club. Guest speaker Maria Reyes, a character and author from the book Freedom Writer spoke to the enthusiastic teens about life struggles, pursuing your goals and not letting your hopes vanish. The experience was a great success and the students enjoyed of a day filled with outside class learning.
